Demineralization
The advanced demineralization systems are designed to utilize electrodeionization (EDI) technology. With more than ten years of experience, our proven EDI systems meetstringent industry standards—providing reliable, chemical-free operation and delivering a continuous
supply of high quality water up to 16 Mohmµ/cm (<0.1 µ/cm). Systems are delivered on a contractual supply or turnkey basis.
Advantages of EDI technology for demineralized water production:
- Eliminates use of regeneration chemicals
- Eliminates wastewater generation or treatment
- Delivers consistent high quality permeate
- Offers a small footprint
Typical System
- Pre-treatment—may include media pre-filtration, activated carbon filtration, chemical pre-treatment, and cartridge filtration
- Double-pass reverse osmosis (RO)
- Removal of C02 from the RO permeate
- Electrodeionization (EDI) to achieve the required quality in the final demineralized water
System Configuration
- Skid mounted
- Containerized (sample system):
- Container 1: Media pre-filtration, activated carbon, chemical pre-treatment, and cartridge filtration.
- Container 2: Skid-mounted double-pass RO (with integral CIP unit), GTM membranes, skid-mounted EDI with power supply, electrical and control panels, and HMI computer station.
